We believe that no life should be half lived. 1 in 5 people in Scotland are struggling with a chest, heart or stroke condition. We won't live with that. Join us to support people to live life to the full. #NoLifeHalfLived

Story

Never made my target three hours but managed to finish so I should be happy with that. Very chuffed with the amount of donations raised so thanks to everyone for that.

Back next year for the three hour target.

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. That is me on the right with my twin brother - ready to compete at Perth Highland Games aged 13. Honest!

In 1999 I lost my dad to a heart attack. Last year my mother-in-law suffered a stroke and a friend from work died from heart problems.

I think it's about time that I tried to raise more money to aid the research into these medical conditions and also help provide support to those who've survived from and continue to battle against the difficulties they bring.

Running a marathon is a bit of an effort but it's one I'll hopefully complete. Any donation you can give will be gratefully received. I must point out that I'm trying to break three hours for this run which is my personal challenge. Feel free to donate a 'bonus' amount if I manage this.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Chest, Heart & Stroke Scotland gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
