Story
Dear Friends,
Starting at Midday on March 26th for a period of 24 hours I will attempt to run as many miles as I can to raise money to help those whose lives have been devastated by the Earthquake and Tsunami in Japan. My aim is to run two Marathons in the 24 hour period (52.4 miles / 84.4 kilometres) at Centenary Park Sports Club in Stanmore, London. Each lap of the park is 1.1 kilometres. Therefore I will aim to run a minimum of 77 laps of the Park.
I worked for Shane English Schools in Saitama which is part of Greater Tokyo in 2009 and I have seen on the News the destruction which the Tsunami has caused to so many. I have been worried about my friends and all those who have been affected by the Tsunami.
Through this challenge I hope I can raise as much money as I possibly can to help those who need it especially in the heavily affected regions of Sendai and Fukushima.
