I'm running in the Edinburgh marathon again this year, and need a bit of motivation to help me drag my body round the 26.2 mile course! So once again,I'm hoping to raise some money for the Kinder mountain rescue team.
As you may have seen in the media, mountain rescue teams have had a busy time over the winter. (Kinder team were even called out to help the ambulance service in the worst of the snowy conditions on a number of occassions)
At the end of last year, the teams H.Q was extended, enabling the Landrovers to be garaged on site. This has helped the team to get out onto the hills even faster now during a shout.
Kinder mountain rescue team rely soley on donations in order to maintain their H.Q and provide an important search and rescue service.
