Mental Health UK is here for anyone experiencing a mental health problem. We are made up of four organisations based in each of the four nations of the UK, working together to improve mental health.

Story

Thanks for having a wee look at my page.

First things first. I am a fat man so this is going to be tough. You probably know me and so therefore know how sedentary I am. You know how much I enjoy not moving my body. It's great eating all the cakes and not running. Unfortunately, if I do that forever I'll die. I know, right!?

This run isn't just about saving me from an early grave though. This is also about raising money for Mental Health UK. Mental health issues affect a lot of people close to me and it has even reared its damn ugly head, well, in my own head. I need to hit £150 to justify the free entry I got through work so please help me out and also everyone with mental health issues out there. Because I am doing it through work I will be applying for something called Matched Giving where they will match any donations made (up to a max £500). So any amount you can throw my way can potentially do 2x as much good.

It's the Great Scottish Run in Glasgow on 1st October. I'll be the guy collapsed on the floor (hopefully at the finish line). Training is already underway. My legs are sad.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
