Net 10 for Life IS BACK FOR 2012!!!

 

Net 10 for Life is Netball East’s unique initiative, demonstrating their commitment to England Netball’s new charity partnership with Cancer Research UK.

 

Netball East would like to invite every league and team in the region to take part in this exciting fundraising initiative and help raise thousands of pounds for this incredible charity. All we ask is that for one week this year we all pull together to support and cooperate in what will be a fantastic team effort! Last year we raised over £2700, and this year we want to make it even bigger and better :)!!!

 

So, what does it involve?

 

The concept of Net 10 for Life is simple…

 

Week beginning 6th February 2012 is Net 10 for Life week and all matches played during this week will help contribute to the fundraising.

 

Each team pledges to donate 10p per goal scored in their weekly fixture. So for example;

 

Luton Lollypop Ladies 45 (£4.50) v Dunstable Dinner Ladies 33 (£3.30)

 

Total pledge from each team = £7.80

 

Our Umpires will be key to making this work, as they will be the ones we ask to remind our teams of Net 10 for Life. They will also be encouraged to get involved, by swapping their whites for some pinks, and rounding any donations up to the nearest pound.

 

At the end of the match, the pledges will be collected up by a willing volunteer and donated online at the Netball East Just Giving Page www.justgiving.co.uk/Net10forlife  

 

….And it’s as simple as that!

 

But, we need your support to promote this initiative and get the whole region behind it. We want to raise the most money we possibly can for Cancer Research UK and show everyone what a fantastic region we are. So come, join in and on let’s see how much we can all net!!
