NET (Nottingham Express Transit) & Friends have decided to take on the might of the Yorkshire 3 Peaks on the 19th June 2010.
The Yorkshire Three Peaks Walk is a very demanding but rewarding walk, which takes in the summits of (694 metres - 2,276 feet), Whernside (736 metres - 2,415 feet) and Ingleborough (723 metres 2,372 feet) all in one circular route. We are aiming to complete the walk in less than 12 hours.
Our chosen charity is Cancer Research.
In addition to the 3 Peaks challenge: Lee Hall one of our team members/organisers is running the first UK kilomathon a 26.2 km (16.3 mile) run on the 14th March 2010. This run starts at Nottingham University and end ends some 26.2 km's later in Derby the finish is Pride Park. He has decided to do the run in order to encourage people to donate for our chosen charity which is Cancer Research - best of luck Lee.
