Sense is the UK's largest organisation offering support to deafblind people and their families. Established in 1955 as a parent's support group, Sense now offers a range of services - including, advice, housing, education and practical help to children and adults who are both deaf and blind.

My story

Dear friends,

This year Sam, Chris, Martin, Thomas and Bjarke will be running the 2009 London Marathon taking place in April. We will be running as a team aiming to raise over £4,000 for Sense.

Sense provides services to children and young adults who are both deaf and blind in the developing world.

Without support, four out of five children die before their fifth birthday. Sense exists to do something about this. By providing specialist support they are able to transform the lives of deaf and blind children from one of isolation and neglect to communication, interaction and self esteem.

If you would like sponsor us and donate some money to a great cause you can do so right here. Not only is it really quick and easy but also, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation. Smiles all round!
