Newlife Foundation for Disabled Children is the national charity with a local heart and each year we support dozens of children in the North East who have a disability or life-limiting illness.

Our Freephone helpline provides advice and support whilst our Equipment Grants Service provides essential items including specialist beds, car seats and wheelchairs.

We urgently need your support so we can reach a greater number of children in Northumberland.  Harry, aged 14 and Callum, aged 4, are two of the children in Northumberland who are currently waiting for equipment.

Harry has muscular dystrophy, a condition which has severely affected his mobility.  Harry's family have approached Newlife requesting a portable hoist which will help with Harry's transfers and will enable him to lead an active life and participate in activities outside of the family home.

Callum has cerebral palsy and requires daily physio to keep his muscles stretched.  Callum needs a special lycra suit which will give him core stability and help his balance when sitting and walking.  The cost of the lycra suit is £2,025.
