Please help Transaid continue their lifesaving work in Northern Nigeria!

Our project in Northern Nigeria focuses on maternal and child healthcare.

At present women in Sub-Saharan Africa continue to face a 1 in 13 chance of dying from pregnancy and childbirth, when the risk for women in the industrialized world is only 1 in 4,085. This is largely due to the limited access women have to get to helathcare facilities during pregnancy and giving birth. With our professional volunteer's help, Ed O'Connor, Transaid will develop an emergency transport system so we can ensure that women living in remote and rural areas have better access to the often lifesaving healthcare they need.
