Edinburgh Children's Hospital Charity believes no child should face hospital alone. Every day, 500 seriously ill children face a life-changing hospital visit. Children tell us it can be frightening. Parents say they're sick with worry. We want to change this. With your support, we can. Are you in?

Story

Hello everybody.

Starting on Friday 11th September 2009, we will be cycling from Auckland to Christchurch in an attempt to raise money for the Sick Kids Friends Foundation, a great Scottish charity who's details are provided on the page. The cycle is around 1200km long (wow) and should take around 10-12 days to complete. Given that neither of us are experienced cyclists this is going to be a huge challenge for us, but one that we are both very excited about!

We understand that a lot of us dont have much spare cash at the moment but please sponsor us whatever you can, no matter how small the donation it will definitely make a big difference to this fantastic charity. Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Edinburgh Sick Kids Friends Foundation gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thanks to everybody who has donated so far, it really is going to make the cycle a lot easier knowing that we have raised such a great sum of cash for Sick Kids. You can keep up to date with our progress by visiting our cycle diary at:
