On the 17th November Barbon Insurance CEO, Martin Oliver and the Senior Management team, plan to take on a major challenge to carry a sofa 10 miles from the Emmaus Community in Plumstead to the City of London.

They will be raising much needed money for homelessness charity Emmaus and plan to raise significant awareness of the plight that many thousands of 'hidden homeless' people face, sofa-surfing before ending up on the streets.

The event is part of a wider campaign - Next Stop The Street - which is working to raise wider awareness of this growing issue.

With your support Emmaus will be able to help many more people rebuild their lives and get them off the street this winter and beyond.

'Emmaus is a very special organisation. It treats people who are dispossessed as individuals and gives them the sense of their potential to help themselves and others. Thank you to Barbon for all your support.' Terry Waite CBE, President Emmaus UK.

The team comprises of: Martin Oliver, Nick Sharp, Mark Armitage, John Boyle, Gary Abraham, Ian Fraser, Ian Sutherland, Kate Coulson and Richard Walden.

From the Senior Management team at Barbon Insurance - Thank You for your generous support.

Martin Oliver
