Everyone starts their journey somewhere...

WE DID IT !!!

 We took on the Jurassic Beast and we conquered it…

 

I was determined to do the 66 miles in less than 4hrs; 3hrs 55min was our official time and Gold standard is what we achieved.

 

 

The ride was a true test of our physical and mental strength and I can honestly say that I have pushed myself to the limit, without James I am not sure I would have finished in such good time, he kept me going right to the end. I cant wait to do it all again.

 

We had a Fantastic day…

The Sun was shinning (makes a change) the ride was exceptional, the company was entertaining

but best of all without a shadow of a doubt you lot have been amazing

, we found out just as we were leaving that thanks to your generous donations and sponsors we had passed our fundraising total of £500 !!!

We cant thank you enough all money raised will go towards helping Raw Foundation expand their Raw Blue educational programme online, to raise awareness about plastic pollution and change thinking and behaviour of plastic use.

Raw Blue is working to reduce the amount of oil-based plastic in the environment by raising awareness about the true extent of plastic pollution and its impacts on humans, animals and the environment.

 

ITS TIME TO FACE THE FACTS

 

Levels of beach litter have doubled over the last decade. Over half of all litter found on our beaches is made of plastic and since 1994 plastic items have increased by 135%.

 

Plastic pollution has become a world wide problem

The contamination of our Marine Environment is so vast that plastic can be found floating in all the worlds oceans, everywhere from the polar regions to the equator. It is a world wide issue that poses a major threat to our marine ecology.

 

It is estimated that around 267 different species of marine wildlife have been affected by marine debris and by plastic fragments and plastic waste. Even the tiny plastic particles are causing harm by ingestion and leaching chemicals.

The JURASSIC BEAST will take us along our iconic coastline, which attracts a huge number of tourists each year, this however brings with it added pollution and environmental damage.

 

To protect wildlife and ourselves, we have to stop marine debris at its SOURCE. Our beaches are drowning in plastic Our oceans are a Floating rubbish dump Take action on plastic NOW !
