<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.</p> <p>Some of you may know that my daughter Sophia recently became ill with Meningitis, she spent two weeks in hospital undergoing treatment. She has made a full recovery but we know that many other are not so fortunate. It has surprised us how many people are affected by this illness both young and old. Sophia was very poorly and the illness took hold within hours, she went from being slightly under the weather to being in &nbsp;intensive care in less than 8 hours.</p> <p>Since going through this we have now become more aware of the illness and understand that many organisations are funding research for a vaccination. &nbsp;Sophia was vaccinated against one of the strains but contracted another. Your support and donation will go to Meningitis UK, one of the organisations helping to fund research into a vaccination.
