Hello,

          Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On the 25 sep - 16 Oct 2010 Nikk & Tom will be treking to Everest base camp & then on to the summit of island peak which stands 6189m above sea level. It will be a 22 day trek in total.

Tucked well into the Everest Khumbu region, we will trek for 8/9 days until we reach EBC. Only 3 days after we leave EBC we will be positioned in either the Base or High Camp (both tented) of Island Peak ready to summit the following day. It is an early start to begin the 4 hr ascent to the 'crampon point', where we need to don our climbing gear before continuing on towards Island Peak itself. Fingers crossed!
