Story
First of all a massive thank you to all of you who supported me on my previous endeavour, I raised over £1,000 for Amensty International doing the London Triathlon last August and am now in training for the London Marathon! I’ve never run a marathon before so will need all the support I can get.. the 11kgs in weight I’ve lost since I started training for the triathlon should hopefully make the 26 miles a bit easier!
On this adventure I’m raising funds for Make A Wish, a charity my parents have supported since its inception in 1986. Make A Wish grants magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatning illnesses. Whether their wish is to be a princess or a policeman for a day, own the latest computer equipment, meet a favourite celebrity or just to enjoy some special time away from home with their family, a wish come true brings so much to a child's life and provides memories for the family that last a lifetime. If you’re interested in reading more about their work have a look at www.make-a-wish.org.uk or give me a shout.
I appreciate the credit crunch is making life difficult but hopefully you are able to donate, I need to raise £2,000 this time so anything you can afford to give will be very gratefully received and will go to an excellent cause, the tax automatically reclaimed through justgiving.com will mean Gordon and chums will also be forced to donate so happy days! If you’d like to come and support on the day it would be great to you see there and I promise that whilst Ms Radcliffe is an inspiration I will have the decency to use a bathroom if so required ;-)
Thanks for your support
Nick
