Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!

The Day After: Thank you to all those who came down on what turned into a very wet morning to support me- I counted a total of 20 friends spread around the route, cheering me on- and it really helped especially in the difficult 21-22 miles.

I completed the marathon in 3.46-coming 7731th- a bit slower than what I had trained for managing to stay on marathon pace up to 20 miles. Cold in my legs following heavy rain, and loss of music my only minor problems.

At one stage I was running next to the eventual winner Martin Lel, unfortunately he was going in the opposite direction at the 22 mile mark and I had just gone halfway. However, I'm pleased to confirm I wasn't beaten by a Rhino, or Floella Benjiman, but was beaten by Borat in green mankini. The 5 miles I ran behind him from the start were less then pleasant- but I hear the front view was worse.

Today a little stiff, but managing the stairs without having to sit down.

The months before: 66 laps of Regents Park, SNOW,  reduced my man breasts, love of lycra leggings, overcome injury, sidestepped dog walkers malicious poo traps, ignored the rants of a mentally ill resident on my road, dodged the old lady and her mobility vehicle intent on taking me out of the marathon.

Please give generously and hlp get me to tmy fundraising target, and know that you will be supporting an excellent charity: Right To Play UK www.righttoplay.com/, a humanitarian organisation committed to children's development through play and sport.

Thank you for your all support, both sponsorship, cheers and messages- it really helped and got me to the finish!
