Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Earlier this year, on 30th January 2009, I lost my Dad after he suffered his third heart attack. He was 62 and leaves behind my wonderful Mum who loves and misses him dearly, my Nan (and his Mum), my brother Jeff, my sister Sally and her daughter (and my niece) April, and myself, as well as a host of wider family and friends.
Before that time, I had already started training for this year's London marathon on Sunday 26th April, having won a place in annual ballot last October. I am now using my place to run in honour of my brilliant Dad, and to raise money for the British Heart Foundation whose work helped to save him twice before until he ran out of good luck on that fateful day.
Many of you will know that I do a bit of running in my spare time and this will be my 2nd marathon. On a personal note I'm hoping to beat my previous time of 3:54 and to put any giant peperami's firmly in their place (I was almost beaten by one last time out) - so feel free to sponsor me extra if I beat my target but be warned that I'm quietly confident!
If you can, please spare something to sponsor me and help me to make my Dad proud.
Thank you,
Nick.
