We build mobile cancer care units to give those with cancer extra time

Story

Hi Everyone! Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online. This will make a huge difference to people's lives. The Ironman has been described as the toughest race known to man. Out of all of the Ironman competitions in the world, Lanzarote has been described as the hardest of them all! 1300 people at 7 AM start the race with a 3.8 km open sea swim, move straight onto a 180 km bike ride followed by a marathon (42.2 km run) with a cut off time at midnight (17 hours.) The 25 mph winds, the huge mountain climbs, the boiling heat all contribute to its reputation as the world's toughest course. To complete the Ironman in a decent time, I will need to be incredibly fit and lean. As of the July 2007 I weighed 18 stone (252 lbs/114.5 kg,) had a 42 inch waist, a 28% fat count and had smoked 20 a day for 25 years. Game on. To monitor my progress over the next year and a half go to my website: www.modernworldstudios.co.uk.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: HOPE FOR TOMORROW will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please, please sponsor me now for as much money as you can spare!

Many thanks for your support.

Nick
