My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

 

I am raising money for the Children’s Paediatric Team which is part of The East & North Hertfordshire NHS Charitable Fund

 

I am doing this by cycling over 440 grueling km’s across France and into Italy from Nice to Pisa from Sept 9 to 13 2011.

This cycle has been entirely organised and self-funded by myself, and I would like to utilise this opportunity by raising some much needed sponsorship for the Paediatrics team, which provides amazing care and support for Children across E & N Hertfordshire.

 

Children's Paediatric Team

The Paediatrics staff are an exemplary team of dedicated children’s nurses who strive to provide excellent standards of acute care for over 34,000 children per year in E & N Hertfordshire.

 

We care for children and young people that have a wide spectrum of problems, injuries and illnesses. These include:

 

·          Very sick children with life threatening illnesses, infections and injuries such as meningitis, asthma, cancer, diabetes, head injuries

·          Children with complex needs

·          Children with long term conditions such as cystic fibrosis

·          Children who need to be safeguarded, because of abuse and/or neglect

·          Emergency operations for injuries such as broken limbs and for acute problems such as appendicitis

·          Elective operations such as squint repair, hernia repair etc.

 

Please did deep to support the Paediatrics team and help them to continue to provide excellent care for children, which they deserve.
