Story

Hi and thanks for visiting my fundraising page. My name is Nick Dunk, I have a wonderful wife called Sarah and four fantastic children, Genevieve, aged 9, Hugo,7 Noah,5 and Tabitha who is 2. I work as a Service Centre Manager for DHL in Lincoln and we currently live in Letchworth Garden City in Hertfordshire. In 2008 I took on the biggest challenge of my life and succeded in running 2 marathons in 2 months, in London and Edinburgh, after this I knew that I needed to do something a tad more stretching to raise money in 2009, so..........I went mad and decided on........

3 marathons in 2 weeks!!!

I cannot begin to tell you what a massive effort this is going to take on my part and all talk of PB's are out of the window, I aim to finish all three under 4hrs 30 but I will definitely come in under 5 hrs. I know some runners who may say big deal, so what, but you are talking about me here, it near damned killed me in my second 08' marathon in Edinburgh and they were 6 weeks apart.  The runs I will be doing are as follows:

April 26th 2009 - The Rotary Shakespeare Marathon - Stratford-upon-Avon

May 3rd 2009    - The Suffolk Heritage Coast Run - Leiston, Suffolk

May 10th 2009  - Halstead & Essex Marathon - Halstead, Essex.

After coming across a very inspirational family I decided that I would like to work with a different charity in 2009. I have been moved and tremendously inspired by the work of the people at www.thebromptonfountain.org.uk please visit the website and see the wonderful cause that stands to benefit, my commitment in doing this challenge will never come anywhere near the commitment that these people have to make on a daily basis. Please help me to help them raise much needed funds, they are a small new charity and do not have the huge promotional and marketing advantages that are utilised by the bigger (and also very worthy) charities. My aim is to raise £1,000 on justgiving and then I can apply for my employers  to match this sum.

Please, please help me to do that.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Brompton Fountain gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
