Having been lucky enough to get a place in the draw for the London Marathon 2009, I have now begun training for my 4th time running the race - clearly I have totally lost it! Training has well and truly begun, which involves lots of time outside, running, in the freezing cold Manchester evenings!
However...
Despite risking frostbite, I have decided to put this opportunity to great use by supporting a fantastic charity in Manchester. having moved here 3 years ago, I have been an admirer of the brilliant work they do, and see this as a great opportunity to raise funds for a very deserving cause.
Launched in July 1985, George House Trust provides support services to people living with HIV, their carers, partners and families across the North West of England. The aim of George House Trust is to provide the best quality of life to people living with or affected by HIV. Their "still life with HIV" message is at the centre of the organisation's philosphy and campaigning and seeks to empower people living with HIV to lead a full life.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: George House Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thank you!
Nick
