BUPA Great South Run 2008 · 26 October 2008 ·

Every day 250 people in the UK start losing their sight. With your help, we can be there when people need us most, support independent living, create an inclusive society and prevent avoidable sight loss. Every pound you raise will help create a future where sight loss is no longer a barrier.

Story

On Sunday 26th October I will be embarking on a challenge of a lifetime in sunny Portsmouth.  I have the pleasure in running 10 miles for the Royal National Institute for the Blind (RNIB).

As you can see from the photo opposite South London has treated me well for training conditions so i'm now ready to take on all that Portsmouth has to throw at me!

What does the sponsor money buy?

  • £8 helps pay for a call to a RNIB Helpline
  • £20 provides information and support on employment issues to a blind or partially sighted person
  • £125 pays for a patient to receive specialist care in RNIB's low vision clinic
  • My target is only £200 so more than that would be great!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: RNIB gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

    So please sponsor me now!

    Thanks

    Nick
