2009 sees St Michael's Hospice celebrate its 25th anniversary. From the very first day it opened, a commitment was made to provide quality, individualised care to patients who have progressive, life-limiting conditions and to offer support to their carers and families during the patient’s illness and in their bereavement. Over the course of time, services such as our day hospice, family support, complementary therapy, lymphoedema and out patient clinics have developed. It will cost £3.6 million to run the Hospice this year and we need to raise more than £3 million of that amount. Support from community fundraisers is invaluable and very much appreciated. Thank you.

My story

Hey There!!

Thank you sooo much for taking the time to visit my page!

For those of you that know me personally, you will know already that I'm a bit of a speed freak and love all things fast and stupidly dangerous, so when I spotted a chance to do something as wonderful as a freefall parachute jump from 12,500 feet (EEK!) I naturally jumped (!) at the chance! For those of you that don't know me personally, well extra thanks to you for visiting this page, your support means an awful lot to me.

As well as helping me do something I've dreamed of doing, by sponsoring me you will also be helping a great charity, St Michael's Hospice.

The aim is to collect as much money as is humanly possible, a substantial amount of the total is taken for insurance and other costs by the organisers so we need to raise MORE, MORE, MORE! We have now reached the amazing amount of £350 (23/4/09) but really do need more of your hard earned cash for St. Michael's.

I know everyone's a little strapped for cash right now but we all know someone who has suffered with cancer or another terminal illness, St Michael's really does make a difference to people's lives.They give so much support to families and carers as well as patients and they really need our money to keep delivering this wonderful care in an uncertain economic future.

The jump will take place at Netheravon Airfield Salisbury, on Friday 14th August 2009. You are all welcome to come down on the day and watch me bricking it and fall from a plane with probably as much grace and style as the proverbial half house brick! but let me know ASAP as I need to book you into the base!
