Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Some of you will know of the challenges Solomon (our eldest son) experienced when we became aware of his hearing impairment in 2005. Many of you were really encouraging and supportive, for which we remain grateful.
Having always maintained that “I’m built for comfort not speed”, some of you might be wondering why I was so keen to cycle from Chile across The Andes to Argentina!
Winter sun may have been a factor, however it was also a great opportunity to contribute back to those who have helped me and my family, especially Solomon.
Donating through JustGiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The National Deaf Children's Society gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, JustGiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
£20 will pay for a deaf child to attend a day of football, rugby or tennis coaching ...
£30 enables 15 head teachers to get specialist information to ensure their school fully includes deaf children in school life ...
£100 provides 25 families with the information they need to know when first find out their baby is deaf ... Naomi and I really appreciated this!
£500 will cover the cost of running the NDCS Freephone Helpline for families and professionals for one day, giving free confidential support and information ...
£1000 provides training for a deaf role model who visits families with young deaf children to share their life experiences.
It is not too late to support this challenge so please sponsor me now and help support NDCS in creating a world without barriers for deaf children and young people ...

Thanks again,
