We are taking part in an organised car rally across France, Switzerland,and Italy, finishing back in France on the Riviera. 1200 miles over three days sounds fairly easy eh? No, as the catch is the car that is used must be an old banger worth about £200! Makes it a little bit more difficult not knowing if you'll make it!

Day1 is an endurance test for the car, 400 miles plus from Boulogne to Besancon. Day 2 is heading over to Lake Geneva and then up the steep winding roads to the top of the Alps, testing the car's clutch, gearbox and brakes! Then down to Turin, the setting for the Italian Job. Should we escape Turin's one way system, the final day is back into France through Monaco and ending up (hopefully) in Nice.

While the rally is designed for fun, we would like to use the event as a fundraiser for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance Service. The Air Ambulance is desperatley underfunded, and to keep providing this life saving service the charity needs to raise £7200 per day to keep both of Yorkshire's Air Ambulances maintained and in the air. The generosity that they receive is the life blood of the charity and with out this generosity, they would not be able to provide the service.

We have already started raising money from corporate sponsors and we are now working closely with the Air Ambulance service with fund raising.
