The Bristol Half Marathon 2008 · 14 September 2008 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Alzheimer's Society gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

I've never been much of a long distance runner, i think a run home after the last bus is as far as it gets! but after a close member of my family passed away recently, I wanted to do what I could to help. Putting myself through 16 weeks of training and running a Half Marathon seemed like a great idea at the time.

The Alzheimer's Society help thousands of people every year, both sufferers and family, affected by a disease which torments everyone involved. It's a great cause, please give generously and i'll try and give you all a wave on the telly! Although I doubt many of you will get BBC SouthWest local news.

Thank you for all your support, please give whatever you can however big or small, it will make a difference and will all go towards helping a great Charity. Think of the pain I'm going to go through, I know you'll all enjoy that thought! c'mon get your cash out!

Also, please pass this onto all your friends and family

Much love,

Nick
