Update (5th July 2011): I have completed 5 of the 6 jumps and will be returning as soon as the weather clears up to complete my final jump. I have paid for the course myself so ALL of the £710 raised so far is going to Wishing Well House.
I am doing a "Solo Freefall" parachute course to raise money for Wishing Well House, which is a charity that is aiming to open a school in the NorthWest of England that will provide one to one education for children with autism using a programme called Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA).
Autism is something that has had a major impact on both me and my family as I was growing up, we have first hand experience of the lack of understanding and ignorance that exists towards children with Austism.
So far I have raised £650 (15th June 2011) through friends, family and some small local businesses but I would like to reach out to people I don't know so well by using this page.
About the Jump
After completing a 1 day training course I will make 5 static line jumps under close supervision before making my first solo freefall jump. In total this will take approximately 3 days (weather dependant of course). After completing the course I will be able to do more jumps in future at a fraction of the cost meaning that I can raise lots more money for Wishing Well House.
