Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This page replaces http://www.justgiving.com/nickgendler/ - a ride I was planning to do before the dates changed. Thanks to Barend, Bood, Ruth and Dom who sponsored me there.
My big charity bike ride challenge for 2009 is London to Amsterdam; 300k in 3 days (6th -8th September). To add to the challenge, I'll be riding my fixed geared bike. Yes, that's right - no gears to make it easier to get up the hills and no freewheeling. As long as the wheels are going round my legs will be spinning. That's 300km of leg rotation in three days!
I've committed to raise £1200 and am starting late because there have been a few complications with organising this trip so please don't hold back!
The box on the left tells you about World Jewish Relief. This is an organisation our family has been supporting for a while. Noa donated a fair amount of her Batmitzvah money to them and we are impressed by their important work supporting some of the most needy Jewish and non-Jewish communities around the world.
Apart from their work helping poor, remote and isolated Jewish communities, WJR is a prominant disaster relief agency with projects currently in Burma, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Georgia and Africa following war and natural disasters in those areas.
Please help me to reach my target of £1200.00 by donating today.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: World Jewish Relief gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
