My lovely friends Sarah and Matty sadly lost their gorgeous little girl Rowan Macie to spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) when she was 18 months old. She would have been 4 on the day of the walk. A group of us will be walking 17 miles form Denby Dale to Dovestone reservoir (in onesies) where Rowan has a special place marked by a rowan tree. There is currently no cure for SMA and money raised will go to the SMA trust to help fund their research.
