On 13th April 2008 I will be running the London Marathon for the Douglas Macmillan Hospice. 

Hospices are incredible places which provide care, support and dignity to people and families facing cancer and other terminal illnesses. 

The Douglas Macmillan Hospice did a fantastic job of looking after my Dad in his struggle with pancreatic cancer.  The staff also provided a support network for my Mum and family which was invaluable over such a difficult time.

It costs the Douglas Macmillan Hospice more than £5.5 million to provide comprehensive palliative care services in the hospice, community and patients' homes.
