Story
Hi Everyone
Pictorial evidence . . . I completed the half marathon in 2hrs 1min and came 3837th out of 6648, either their technology is faulty or my body let me down a bit!? We kept at a steady pace whilst grabbing at occasional water and lucozade supplies (I managed to miss the lucozade every time so persuaded my sis to share hers!) A few miles in we ran past a church where music was playing and a crowd cheered us along, so I wondered if the Lord would be with me from this point forward as I was beginning to get a bit tired....... We had a couple of new waves of energy in the last two miles through bedsit land; some students had a speaker booming out "eye of the tiger" so we were able to run for the next ten minutes feeling like "Rocky", sadly this started to wear off but along came a runner who motivated us all with a mass-ensemble of "oggy-oggy-oggy"!. Had to leave my sister for the last mile as I had to keep the rhythm going and she was having an energy problem and gradually slipped further back till I couldn't see her anymore, but she was only a few minutes behind me.
I'll be chasing everyone for money now I've shed the sweat and had the aches and pains. A HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS SPONSORED ME ALREADY. ![]()
