IMPORTANT : THE TREK DATE HAS CHANGED TO SEPTEMBER OF 2010. I was originally told i had up to one month after the trek to continue collecting and raising the money. However, i was then told a few weeks ago that the money had to be  handed in ten weeks BEFORE the trek, making it impossible for me to raise £3000 in that time scale. The trek HAS NOT been cancelled it has been postponed. For those who have already generously sponsored the money is already with Age Concern, however, please let me know if you want a refund otherwise it will go towards the same trek just a different date! I entered a voluntary placement with Age Concern Cheshire last year. The placement is to raise money for the charity. This is done individually and as a team. The outcome of the placement will see me enduring a 10 day challenging trek (including travel) in Borneo. I am hoping to raise £3000! For me to do this i will be organising and running small events/fundraisers of my own and also events on a larger scale with the group i will be trekking with. The trek itinerary for 'Borneo Ultimate Challenge' can be seen at http://www.globaladv.org/Challenge_events.html . The multi-activity-challenge-trek takes place in the  Sabah region of Borneo within Malaysia. The Challenge includes:

A two day trek to summit Mt Kinabalu (4,095m-the highest mountain in South East Asia). Then we will procede with a challenging 170km cycle ride over a two day period through Crocker Mountain range (known as the 'spine of sabah). The challenge finishes with a white-knuckle raft down the Padas river!
