I'll be walking over 300 miles along the coast path from Minehead in Somerset to Lizard Point via Lands End.

My journey begins at 1100hrs on Friday 27th August 2010.  Visit http://300milewalk.blogspot.com to follow my preparations and to view updates whilst I'm out on the cliffs of Somerset, Devon and Cornwall.

I'll be walking at least 15 tough miles per day (averaged) with full pack, following Britain's longest National Trail - The South West Way Coastal Path.  19 consecutive nights in a one man ultra-light tent.  By the end of my trek I will have ascended twice the height of Mount Everest.

I've chosen the charity HELP because it is a cause that is close to my heart since I spent 7 weeks in Sri Lanka just one year after the Boxing Day Tsunami.

The trauma experienced by young and old was still in the faces of thousands of people that I met during my travels.
