My story

With the support of our friends in Rotary  we are working hard to build a training school to help disabled young people in Koforidua, Ghana to earn a living.

The first phase is almost ready to go and will get training started. Now we need to raise more funds to build a permanent and sustainable facility. We have already raised over £8000 and secured a good site and we will need about £20000 in total.

This will provide training for up to 80 students each year to set up their own small businesses and become self sufficient. Training will be in fabric printing and computing skills.

We visited the project last year, where our son Daniel is working as a volunteer. The plight of disabled people, who are often neglected by their families, is very real. The current credit crunch only makes it harder for them.

Thank you all for your support so far, as we have held parties, BBQs, lunches, dinners, raffles and climbed mountains. Please help us again to make a big difference.

Thank you so much.

Nigel & Maureen
