Story

With the support of our friends in Koforidua Rotary we are working hard to build a training school to help disabled young people in Koforidua, Ghana to earn a living.

The first project has now started thanks to a large matching grant from Rotary and this will provide equipment and teachers to offer employment and business skills.  The second project has also started - a computer training permanent building - but we need more to finish the job. We have already raised over £15,000 and secured a good site but we will need about £17500 in total.

This will provide training for up to 50 students each year to set up their own small businesses and become self sufficient. Training will be in fabric printing and computing skills.

We have visited the project, and will do so again when the building is ready. The plight of disabled people, who are often neglected by their families, is very real. The current credit crunch only makes it harder for them.

Thank you all for your support so far, as we have held parties, BBQs, lunches, dinners, raffles and climbed mountains. Please help us again to make a big difference.

Thank you so much.
