Story

Thank you for visiting Nigel and Mike's fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us online.

The 3rd Peking to Paris Endurance Rally 2007 starts on 27 May in Beijing and finishes in Paris on 30 June.  This venture involves a 12,000 km drive across very challenging terrain in the Gobi desert, the Steppes of Mongolia/Siberia and the Urals.  We also have to contend with temperature veriations from nearly freezing nights to over 40 Degrees C during the daytime.   We are undertaking this Rally in Nigel's trusty 1955 Series One SWB Land Rover.  Nigel and the car have competed in numerous International Rallies and Raids, including the 2nd Peking to Paris Rally 1997; Mike on the otherhand is a novice at Rallies - more used to racing around circuits and touring!

The organisers of this arduous event have a web site with more details of the history behind the Rally, at  www.pekingparis.com ; our own web diary is now available on www.getjealous.com/MRPink if you wish to follow our progress.

Further details of our chosen charity, The Association for Research in Infant and Child Development, can be found at www.aricd.org.uk .  The charity is celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year, and your support could make a real difference to the lives of children, particularly in the developing world.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure.  If you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support.
