Story

What am I doing?
I'm making a plan to lose a fair bit of weight and your sponsorship and donations for Dreams Come True will keep me motivated to continue. At the time of starting this, I am around 107kg and my ultimate goal is to get down to 80kg. That's 27kg, which sounds a lot, but I shall be breaking it down into smaller targets: The first will be 100kg; then each target will be a further 5kg less. I have no set timescale for achieving this because I think that could add too much pressure and I may end up forcing a more unhealthy "fast weight loss" regime upon myself. I prefer the tortiose technique rather than the hair.

I will be striving to eat a little more healthily and take a little more exercise. I already cycle or walk to work (five and a quarter miles) almost everyday, so this is a great start. I have also broken out the exercise bike one more time and have been putting in the hours on that too. Thanks to my walking/riding to work for the past 21 months, my fitness level is pretty good, so extra exercise is much less of a problem for me..... I just need to keep away from the "good" food.

To make sure I have "hit" my target, I will not be asking for donations until I have been below my target weight for five consecutive days. Check below for my progress.....

About Dreams Come True
Dreams Come True is a national charity serving the whole of the UK with the mission of bringing joy to children who are terminally or seriously ill by making their treasured dreams come true. I have chosen Dreams Come True because I believe we should all have the opportunity to realise our own dreams. As adults, most of us will be able to make our dreams come true with enough dedication, but most of these children will never be able to achieve it without the help of others. For much more information on exactly what they do and for who, please take a look at the Dreams Come True website

What can you do?
I would love for you to sponsor me each step of the way, pledging as much as you like for each or a single step. Please make donations directly from this page, or if you want to make a pledge, please email me at dreams@chipping.me.uk, let me know what you want to pledge and I'll keep you informed of my progress. Be warned, I may include pictures!!!

Please don't be concerned about the legitimacy of this site. I followed a direct link for the Dreams Come True website to get here. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
