My personal message:

PLEASE SPONSOR ME FOR THE 2008 LONDON 10K

Some hit forty (one) and buy fast cars or have affairs. I've taken up running! A wise friend told me the best way to keep the running going is to enter a race. The London 10k around the sites of central London on Sunday 6th July is my race (along with Tim, Martin, Ant and 25000 other brave souls).

The training is proving painful (literally!) but apparently I will eventually feel better for it.  My target on the day is not a particular time but I pray I beat the rhinos and the deep sea diver.

Onto the charity I'm running for, as most of you will know (particularly those of you who have had me to dinner of late) I was diagnosed with Coeliac disease last year and its been quite life-changing for me. I have been helped through this transition by Coeliac UK. In turn I would now like to give something back to this great organisation which makes it possible for people like me to adjust to a complete differing eating regime which will dictate our lives forever, as well as those around us.

1 in 100 of us have Coeliac and the more awareness raised by Coeliac UK the better for those already, and as importantly, those yet to be diagnosed.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Coeliac UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many, many thanks for your support.

Nigel
