As many of you are aware my Mum sadly passed away in June 2009 after finally losing her fight against Cancer. The final weeks of her life were spent at the East Cheshire Hospice where she was so comfortable and happy despite her illness. My Father also spent many hours at the Hospice to spend time with Mum, and for a short time it became their home from home together. The staff were all fantastic and as a Family we cannot begin to repay the kindness and care shown to my Mum.
Although many of you may already give charitable donations to help cure Cancer I would like to focus on raising money to help care for terminally ill patients in their final days as the Hospice costs £5500 per day to remain open. Without the Hospice and the amazing staff my Mum's final few weeks would have been very different and thanks to them, we are left with wonderful memories of those final few weeks spent at the hospice, in a bright and happy place.
The staff and my Mum shared many giggles as they helped to keep her wonderful sense of humour to the end. Finally, I would like to thank you all for your generous support of this worth while cause which relies mainly on charitable donations.
