Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My challenge is to cycle 927 miles in 9 days unaided from John O Groats to Lands End at Easter 2010. Then just a month later run the Edinburgh marathon in May 2010 both in memory of my dad Bob.

Dad passed away in June 2006 only 9 months after being diagnosed with Motor Neurones Disease. It was Dad though who gave me so much support when I cycled Lands End to John O Groats in 1995 so it seems the obvious thing to challenge myself with again just the other way round to raise important funds for MND.

In addition to this my only marathon the London Marathon 2006 was a very emotional experience as I knew it was probably the last activity Dad would be able to watch me have a go at.

It has taken a while for me to come to terms with the way dad died but now feel the time is right to do something and help raise funds to try and find a cure for what is a horrible disease. Combining the JOGLE ride and Marathon seems an appropriate way of raising such funds. YES I know I am bonkers :-)

But any donation you can make will be greatly appreciated.

Thank-you very much.

Nigel Pattison
