So pleased to tell you I have decided to run the Sussex Living 10k Burgess Hill race on bank Holiday Monday 7th May 2012. I hope by doing this will help increase awareness for The Chesnut Tree House & hopefully more £s!! Its a great cause & I love doing what I can to help the families, siblings & life limited children enjoy the precious time remaining in a home thats equiped with the most amazing medical equipment, fantastic staff across the board, a recipe that when mixed together, blends into a home build upon love in a non hospice like environment.

Thank you for reading & look forward to updating you with my progress!! Kind wishes Nikki xx

ABOUT ME:-

This is the biggest fitness challenge I have ever embarked upon, having only in recent times taken up regular exercise following Rosemary Conley's Diet & Fitness plan, have lost 2 stone & 2lbs to date so my fitness has greatly improved!

I will be following a fantastic fitness plan with the help of my fabulous friends, PT's running buddies & fitness classes!

My reasons for wishing to support Chestnut Tree House is simple, Im a mummy! When reading up about Chestnut Tree House & what the dedicated staff do there, I just had to do this! The Children with life limited illness deserve to enjoy family time in a safe non hospice like place, The Chestnut Tree offers this with professional care in a "house built upon love" allowing families, siblings & parents alike to share precious moments with their children! xx

Here is some information:-

Chestnut Tree House is the only children's hospice in Sussex and cares for children and young adults from 0-19 years of age with progressive life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses from all over the county.

Only 9p from every £ is given from the government so 91p has to be raised by various fundrasing ways from people in & around Sussex.

Chestnut Tree House is more like a family home from home with 10 bedrooms to give families some comfort of "normality" in very difficult & painful times.

It costs 2 & 1/2 million pounds per year to keep this amazing place fully staffed & the community team able to do such an amazing job!

230 children & familes require Chestnut Tree House for respite care & around 300 families still receive care after the untimely bereavament of their loved ones!

Chestnut Tree House is placed in my heart & your donations will help me to help Chestnut Tree House continue doing their amazing work, if only in a small way!! Thank you so very much!
