Here are facts:

1. I will be cycling from London to Paris.
2. I will be cycling for 3 days straight.
3. This will cover a distance of 220 miles (or 354 km).
4. This is to support the charity Independent Age.
5. The charity will buy iPads for the elderly to help them get online and stay connected.
6. I am not particularly fit.
7. I haven't ridden a bike since my teens.
8. This will be a big challenge for me.
9. This is mostly likely going to hurt.
10. Actually, it's going to hurt a lot.
11. Like, seriously big time.
12. You will get a laugh out of my pain (have you ever experienced saddle pain?).
13. The elderly feel left out not being able to use snapchat.
14. If you support me I will bring you back a baguette.

An estimated 5.3 million 65+ year olds in the UK have never been online and 3.8 million live alone. As an internet company, we want to make a difference to the lives of people in this part of the community by supporting the charity, buying their members iPads and using our knowledge to train their members on using the internet and staying connected in an increasingly digital age.
