My story

So, we have decided to do the Great South Run in October! Our previous competitive endeavours have consisted mainly of eating, drinking and dieting (nice healthy cycle there) so this will be quite a challenge. If you donate loads we promise not to bore you to tears with how our training’s going. Unless you ask of course, in which case we will happily tell! Rest assured we are taking it all very seriously seeing as it’s such a great cause and we hate to fail at anything. We will be hitting you up for cash in a variety of ways over the coming weeks, so look out for our fundraising events. In the meantime…

… We’ve chosen to do the Great South Run for Rethink, a national charity which supports people affected by mental illness, their families and carers. Despite affecting so many people, mental health is an issue that remains criminally overlooked and ignored. 1 in 4 of us will experience a mental health problem at some point, yet stigma and discrimination prevent too many from getting help early and recovering full and meaningful lives. Rethink works to challenge this through national campaigns for policy change, greater awareness and understanding.
