Story
Hi and welcome to my fundraising page!
My name's Nina and this year I will be taking part in the Multiple Sclerosis Societie's annual BIGFoot challenge in Cheshire!
The MS Society have been doing a great job for the past 50 years offering support to MS sufferers. Just some of the fantastic work they do is offer counselling, education, and respite homes for MS sufferers. They also campaign for MS related issues, including availabilty of treatment for all, and fund research into treatments. MS nurses provide invaluable support both at home and at the respite centres.
MS is a disease that affects the nervous system. Myelin sheaths of nerves degrade and plaques form. Movement becomes difficult and life can become unpredicatable for sufferers due to relapses.
I am supporting this charity as MS has touched my family. My grandma was diagnosed with MS over 30 years ago. I want to give a little back to the Society that has helped, and continues to support, my grandma.
My challenge is a 50 mile trek over 3 days and to raise as much as possible towards training MS nurses, research and funding for MRI scanners. Please help me support my charity. Any donations and messages will be very much appreciated. Thanks for reading my page. Nina Owen Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Multiple Sclerosis Society will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. So please sponsor me now! Many thanks for your support.
