Well I completed within my target time of 4 hours and did pass a few other BackCare runners on the way. Final time 3 hours 59 mins and 49 seconds so will try and beat it next time.

Great day and great support from crowds, will not pretend it was eary but well worth it and it was knowing I would let others down if I didn't finish that got me through the last couple of miles.

A big thank you to everyone who sponsored me, and if you haven't done so yet there is still time!! Just folow the links below.

Those of you who have known me for a while will recall that I suffered from spells of chronic lower back pain for years, and after experimenting with just about ever alternative therapy known to man, I finally found lasting relief through a combination of Pilates and exercise. I have been mercifully free from pain since I started running about 5 years ago, which is why I am happy to run for Back Care.

Not only does back pain have a significant effect on the lives of suffers, it also costs us financially as back pain is the number two reason for long term sickness in much of the UK, causing the loss of approx 5 million working days per annum, and more than £1 billion per annum on National Health Service costs on treatment.

Back Care provides information on the causes, treatment and management of back pain and works with both employers, carers, health professinals and individuals to help mitigate the effects. The work they do is vital in helping to get this Nation off its back and back to work, and I would therefore urge you to help me in assisting this work by donating to my page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Thank you

Nita
