I am fundraising in memory of my father, Manjit Singh Gehdu, and supporting the Unique Home for Girls Charity. This organisation rescues baby girls abandoned by their parents, who see them as a burden. My father felt strongly about treating daughters equally as sons, an idea unfortunately some people in India still fail to respect, even in this day and age.
