Please support us in our attempt to be the first married couple in Northern Ireland to reach the summit of Everest!! We are hoping to achieve this in April/May 09 and between now and then we are trying to raise as much money as we can for the Ulster Cancer Foundation (UCF). Peter McAlindon (left in picture) will also be joining us on the first leg of our expedition. He was diagnosed with lymphoma five years ago. We are hoping to raise £150,000 for UCF, which will help fund a major new support programme for cancer patients & their families in Northern Ireland. This expedition is our second attempt at reaching Everest’s summit as husband & wife. But this doesn’t make it any easier, in fact, it probably makes it harder because we know exactly what is involved and the many problems/obstacles that can occur. In 2005 we had to abandon our summit chance as Noel was diagnosed with retinal haemorrhaging causing blindness. This has made us more determined and hungry for what’s ahead, but your support will help spur us on even further!! So, please, give what you can, we need all the help we can get to reach our target and help UCF fund this much needed support programme. A huge thank you in advance to all that can help.
