Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.  On April 26th 2009 I will be running the London Marathon on behalf of the Rainforest Foundation.

An area the size of England and Wales is cleared every year from the world's rainforests.  If deforestation continues at the current rate there will be no more rainforests by 2050 and we would have lost the the most diverse ecosytem on the planet.  The Rainforest Foundation tackles deforestation both locally and globally.  Locally it helps forest communities to gain land rights, challenge logging companies and manage forests for their own wellbeing and protection of their environment.  Globally it campaigns to influence national and international laws to protect rainforests, the wildlife and their inhabitants.
