I am raising money for the Fiona Dolan fund by taking part in the following:

- Liverpool Half Marathon on March 28th

- Bolton 10k on April 25th

- City of Manchester 10k on July 7th

My sister Fiona Dolan died of a brain tumour in 2007. She was an eye surgeon and had always wanted to travel to Africa and other developing countries to do eye clinics. These clinics provide treatments such as cataract operations which effectively allow people who have been blind to see within a day or so.

Fiona was a very positive person even throughout her illness. After her death, family and friends decided to set up a fund in memory of Fiona which would help others to improve eye health in developing countries. Funds raised now enable UK Doctors to travel to developing countries to do various eye clinis which was an ambition of Fiona's she unfortunately did not get the chance to fulfill. You can check out information about the fund using the link below:

The charity is a way of leaving a lasting legacy for Fiona and of making something positive out of such a tragic loss, any donations would be gladly received.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
