In mid September, of this year, Rorie Evans and Will Fry are planning to drive to Nepal in a Citroen 2CV.
Our trusty steed will be a 0.6 litre 2CV called Dan. He's a monster of a car. What he lacks in horsepower (29bhp) he makes up in good looks and lovely upholstery, a bit like Will and Rorie.
The trip aims to raise money for the Gurkha Welfare Trust, which supports Gurkha veterans in Nepal. It only takes £20 a month (£240 a year) to support a Gurkha veteran in Nepal, a pittance compared to the service they have given.
We will cover all the costs of the expedition ourselves to maximise the amount of money we can donate to the Gurkha Welfare Trust. Upon completion of the journey we will donate the car, if it makes that far and if they want it, to The Gurkha Welfare Trust.
All contributions will be hugely appreciated and please encourage all you know to donate what they can as well.
